I heard so much about Copenhagen, saw so many pictures that my must-see list was as long as Anna Karenina.
So it felt like nothing could surprise me, until I came to Nyhavn. And it was still stunning. The colourful houses, the vibrant decor, even the touristy restaurants had their charm. I immediately felt drawn to the atmosphere. Walking through the alleys, drinking one coffee after another, watching the sun rise behind the Little Mermaid, was the moment I finally understood Hygge.
