Honestly I cannot get enough of Vegemite. And I’ve already been raving about it when I shared my spin on vegemite sticks.
But of course I didn’t stop adding vegemite wherever I can. So I thought about adding it to roasted nuts.

The classic snack is so versatile and there are heaps of combinations. Sweet, spicy, or salty.
Vegemite adds a savoury layer and gives the nuts an addicting factor. Honey, or if you prefer it vegan, agave syrup, balances it out and challenges your tastebuds.

This recipe is quick and easy. It only takes 15 minutes and you’re ready for snacking in front of your TV.

(Recipe) Snacking Roasted Nuts with Vegemite

Ingredients

200 g mixed nuts
1 Tbsp Vegemite or Marmite
1 Tbsp honey or agave syrup
2 Tbsp water
1 Tbsp olive oil
1/2 tsp grounded paprika
1/4 tsp chili powder

Instructions

Start with spreading your mixed nuts on a parchment paper and put them in the preheated oven at 180° Celsius for 7 to 10 minutes.

In the meantime prepare the marinade. Add all the ingredients Vegemite, honey, water, olive oil, paprika and chili powder in a bowl and mix thoroughly.

Take the nuts out of the oven and add them to the vegemite mixture. Make sure to cover them all before you put them back to the parchment paper.
Bake for another 4 to 5 minutes.

Let them cool down.
