“Oh you like to travel? I enjoy camping” “I’d love to camp, but none of my friends do.” “You should join us” “That’d be awesome.”

It must have been something like this, how I, for the first time, talked to my DHL-delivery guy and how we became friends.
Fast forward a few weeks later and I stand in the middle of Brandenburg, in Warenthin, approximately 100km north of Berlin.
With us a car full of might-need camping gear and the heads full of plans.
The tents have been quickly set up, the folding chair placed by the lake, the cheap passion fruit liquor pulled out, we’re ready for long late night talks and star gazing.

We enjoyed the pleasures of nature, of bathing in cold lakes, of the sound of rain on our tents. We had long breakfasts and even longer coffee breaks on our pick-nick blanket. Discovered our surroundings, walked, learned about nature, but also inhaled the quietness.
